Each season, CCNC hosts special events that reflect our mission while also helping to support our operational budget. This season's events are listed below.

The Great Hangout
On two special weekends each year, the nature center is open for hammock camping! Adults and children ages 12+ (with an adult) are invited to an evening of swingin' in the trees, roasting hot dogs and s'mores over the campfire, and enjoying the company of other camping enthusiasts.

*HAMMOCK CAMPING ONLY*
Bring your own hammock or reserve one of our few extras. (Call or email CCNC to reserve.)
$10 for non-members, $8 for members. Admission includes hotdogs and s'mores.
We recommend bringing:
- Hammock & straps
- Change of clothes
- Water bottle
- Flashlight
- Bug spray
- Comforts of home (sleeping bag, blanket, hammock)
- Toiletries
- Chair (optional)
- Bug net (optional)
- Tarp (in case of inclement weather)
*STRONG (unsafe) storms will cause The Great Hangout to be postponed.
