Native Butterfly Donor Wall
A Kaleidoscope of Gratitude

In recognition of the generous supporters helping our nonprofit grow and flourish, we are excited to introduce our new Native Butterfly Donor Wall!

Adorning the northern wall of Price Hall to compliment the large monarch mural, new plaques in the shapes and colors of four of our most ornate native Mississippi butterfly species are now available as depicted below.

Donations and grants of $1,000 or more will
be recognized with a custom native butterfly featuring your name, logo, and donation amount—a colorful display of your commitment to
nature and community.
Giant Swallowtail
Papilio cresphontes

With a wingspan up to 6 inches, the largest species of butterfly in North America has become a symbol of hope, good fortune, and renewal.
Each grant and donation of $100,000 and above will be honored with a permanent 14"x14" plaque in the shape of these majestic insects.

Monarch
Danaus plexippus

The migrating monarchs of Mississippi float on wings up to 4 inches wide on their journey to the Sierra Madre Mountains of Mexico where they hibernate in clusters on branches and trunks of oyamel fir trees.

While the monarchs alight in our gardens only a short time each year, these 12"x12" plaques commemorating each donation and grant of $20,000 - $99,999 will be on permanent display.
Cloudless Sulphur
Phoebis sennae

At 2 - 3 inches wide, the cloudless sulphur is one of the largest species of sulphur butterflies.
Their brilliant yellow wings make them easy to spot in early fall feeding in the butterfly garden or puddling along our trails.
These striking 10"x10" plaques will be displayed for 5 years for donations and grants of $10,000 - $19,999.

Pearl Crescent
Phyciodes tharos
Their 1 1/4-1 3/4 inch wingspan may make them the smallest of the four species on our butterfly wall, but pearl crescents make up for their size with their intricately decorated wing patterns.

The caterpillars of this species seek shelter throughout the winter in the curled leaves. Thanks to our generous donors, visitors to the Nature Center can likewise find shelter amongst our forested trails.

These 8"x8" plaques will be displayed for 3 years for all donations of $1,000 - $9,999
