Trailblazers Day Camp is sponsored by Clinton Community Nature Center and the Mississippi Outdoor Stewardship Trust Fund Grant.


WHO: Trailblazers!!  (Persons age 16+ who have special needs.)

WHEN: June 10- 12 (Mon-Wed) from 9:00am - 1:00pm.

     (Drop Off @ 8:45, Pick up by 1:15pm)

COST:  $60 per camper 


This camp experience is limited to 10 individuals, and will be lead by Sheila Williams, a retired special education teacher with more than 35 years' experience working and volunteering with individuals with special needs. Additional volunteers will be present to assist with crafts, projects, and walking the trails. 


The theme of camp will be "Pollinators." Campers can expect to learn about butterflies, bees, bats and other pollinators, as well as their importance in our food system.  Learning will take place through hands-on activities, projects, walking the trails, observing pollinators, discussions, nature journals, and other projects. A special invitation will be given to each camper and parent to attend additional special programs (such as an interactive wildlife presentation with Freedom Ranch) during the first week in June.


One of the mornings will be spent at Potter and Clay Studio.


Each campers should wear comfortable clothing and close-toed shoes. Bring a lunch and a waterbottle. Snacks will be provided.
