ATTRACT & FEED HUMMINGBIRDS AS THEY MIGRATE

How to Feed Hummingbirds

Hummingbirds feed on flower nectar and insects but also love a solution of sugar and water. To attract hummingbirds, place a feeder filled with a sugar water solution in your yard.

The solution can be made by combining one part sugar and four parts water. Mix the sugar well so it dissolves completely.

Never add honey, artificial sweeteners or red food coloring to the solution.

It is important to keep your feeder clean. You should replace the solution every two to three days and wash the feeder with hot water.

You can supplement your feeder with a combination of annuals, perennials, and vines that will also help in attracting these fascinating birds. Nature's jewels are bold creatures, so place the feeder near a window to enjoy their brilliance more.
